Punjab is one of the states of India that's been heard of all around the world located in northern India it lies next to its Pakistani counterpart bearing the same name the region has been under the rule of so many empires is that it's hard to keep track of them all the Indus valley civilization spends much of the Punjab region until around 1900 BC 2350 years ago it was conquered by Alexander the great then by the Morya and fire the Gupta empire the outgoing Hons the empire of Harsha the Mongol empire the Mughal empire the Sikh empire and of course the British Empire in short the history and the culture of this place is one of the richest on the planet. Chandigarh it is a city and the union territory in India that serves as the capital of both Punjab and the state of Haryana the city is unique as it is not part of either of the two states but is governed directly by the union government, Chandigarh is considered the best plan city in the country it is called the city beautiful and most visitors agree with this once they visit this beautiful city where modernization has not destroyed the natural treasures of the land. 


Punjabi is the sole official language of the state has spoken by almost 90 percent of the people it is an Indo Aryan language that worldwide has more than 130000000 native speakers currently it is the eleventh most widely spoken language in India the most widely spoken language in Pakistan and the tenth most widely spoken language on the planet's Punjabi is unusual among Indo European languages in its use of lexical tones the way the pitch of the voices used can completely alter the meaning of the word. (Facts About Punjab)
